Since then, the brand's been stocked in boutiques across Australia and has an online presence overseas. But the girls admit growing the business initially had its challenges.
While Mary & Liv had been business partners for years in fashion agency, Lee Merchandising, they'd never had to source their own stock from overseas. "The challenges initially were the logistics, working with overseas factories and the processes, not having directly imported or manufactured goods ourselves", Mary explains.
Fast forward five years and they're used to travelling back and fourth to India, to source unique materials and meet with suppliers to bring their ideas to life. It's from abroad that the pair often draws inspiration for their collections.
